I made this documentary during my student teaching in 2008 to advocate for art education in the San Marcos CISD elementary schools. Currently, art is not required by the state of Texas for elementary education. Art education is always threatened by budget cuts. However, I am very glad to say that SMCISD continues to offer art education to its elementary students! Thank you, SMCISD!
